“Stirring up soulful Americana, full-on blues and tasty rootsy grooves, he really rocks.” - fRoots

Georgia-born ace guitarist and singer Brooks Williams takes listeners on a tour of the Deep South USA through its music. From Memphis to New Orleans, Mobile to Winston-Salem, Clarksdale to San Antonio, the music that grew from the lives of the people who lived and worked the rich bottomlands and small towns birthed what became known as rock and roll. Each song tells a story of love, loss, struggle, hope, heartache, and aspiration, inspiring countless musicians and songwriters to this day.

Using an array of guitars, including the cigar box, the resonator, the flattop, and the Telecaster, listeners are given a delightful tour through the blues and some of the people who made it from a guitarist in the 'top 100 all-time acoustic guitarists.' Blues legend Willie Dixon says, “The blues is the roots, the rest are the fruits.” Brooks Williams built his 30-year career on the 'fruits' but has never forgotten his roots. From country blues to gospel, and everything in between, Brooks’ Blues is a celebration of the roots.

Let one of America’s 'favoured sons' be your tour guide for an evening of foot-stomping, resonator sliding blues.

“He’s a lovely player, a lovely singer, and a great writer. The real thing.” - Martin Simpson
