Bugsy Malone fundraiser film screening night
Splurge guns at the ready!!
doors open 7pm on Friday 4th October
“New York, 1929. A war rages between two rival gangsters, Fat Sam and Dandy Dan. Dan is in possession of a new and deadly weapon, the dreaded ‘splurge gun’. As the custard pies fly, Bugsy Malone (Scott Baio), an all-round nice guy, falls for Blousey Brown, a singer at Fat Sam’s speakeasy. His designs on her are disrupted by the seductive songstress Tallulah (Jodie Foster) who wants Bugsy for herself.”
Warm up those vocal chords with a cocktail or mocktail in the Kirkgate Speakeasy before our charity screening of the cult classic Bugsy Malone.
Tickets are £7, available from Billy Bowman’s Music Shop, or in person (or over the phone 01900 826448) from The Kirkgate Centre box office.
All to raise money for Bridget’s Magical Music Pot, a fund set up in memory of Bridget, who was (and still is) an inspiration for anyone wanting to join in and have a go with all things musical. This fund supports community music projects throughout the local area.
So dust off your feather boa, slick back that hair and come along for a night of whacky fun and singing along to all your favourite Bugsy Malone tunes…
