Trip to the Lakes

A joyous musical odyssey around Cumbria

A multimedia song cycle featuring musicians LIVE at the Kirkgate Centre, and a Zoom choir, intercut with stunning previously unseen aerial footage of the Lake District.

An innovative new way of capitalising on the limitations of online music in lockdown, Trip to the Lakes is a multimedia performance like no other, using live performance, video and a virtual choir to take you on a musical odyssey through the glory of the Lake District in Cumbria, UK.

  • previously unseen, stunning drone footage from 2018’s Fellowship project
  • excerpts from Terry Abrahams’ epic Blencathra film
  • a bunch of new songs developed this autumn, and rehearsed in virtual sessions with singers from across the north

Live performances from Dave Camlin, Catherine Reding and Paul Susans, plus a small, socially-distanced choir!
