As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth – in Cockermouth – of one of our greatest poets, this exhibition explores the market town that the boy Wordsworth knew and loved.

A display at the Kirkgate Centre had to be cancelled due to Coronavirus.

We’re hoping to mount a physical exhibition as soon as possible after the crisis has passed.

But in the meantime, we hope you enjoy this online experience, giving you a taste of Cockermouth as the young Wordsworth would have known it.
